write up
This project now looks 10 times better than it did! I wanted a clean transition for the yellow/orange tone that I used in the graveyard scene (of the tombstones up-close) in the middle, but the red was lacking that effect. I changed the opening scene to a bright greenish yellow so it would roll right into the next graveyard scene. I used various effects, glow, color correction, lightning, and so on.

This piece is a great improvement upon your last. I feel as though the color palette works much better, and the shapes interact very well. My only concern might be that some of your transitions are a little abrupt.
ReplyDeleteThe contrast in this piece works so much better. I do miss the image of the statue of angel that is covered up by the cemetery image. I think it was one of the most compelling images.
ReplyDeleteI like the colors on the effects a lot more on this one. The transitions are better too. I would like to see the last layers come off the screen slower or fade out instead of just popping off all at once.
ReplyDeleteMuch better than the last one. The only real problem I have with it is the lightning effect that's in the background for about half the video. It feels corny if not misplaced. If you have to keep it then at least move the end point off the screen so it doesn't stop where it does. as it is now it draws the eye to that one point and keeps the eye there, neglecting the viewer the pleasure of the rest of the video unless they can break from the captive spell of the lightning.
